Do you have a favourite song?

screwed up eyes and screw down hairdo
like some cat from japan
came on so loaded man
well hung and snow white tan

The song reqiuem from the akira soundtack is my favourite song

I'll upload it if people want to hear it

it's 15 minutes long and it is completely insane but also incredibly emotional. it always makes me want to cry but also completely mystifies me as to what the fuck is it about

I dont go in for 'my favourite....' but this song is just insanely good and the only song that always gets me without fail

You fucking BORING bastard!

Now that's REAL music

She wanna shop with Jay
Play box with Jay
She wanna pillowfight in the middle
What a night
She wanna drive my benz
With 5 of her friends
She wanna creep past the block
Spyin' again
She wanna roll with Jay
Chase skeeos away
She wanna fight with lame chicks
Blow my day :(

Today I kinda have 2, but ask me next week and may be different

Red Rain - Peter Gabriel: I look at it as a tragic song for some reason but also hope inspiring. I remember listening to it being drunk and stoned and having a minor breakdown a few year back.
Best Years of our Lives - Richard clapton: iconic Aussie Sydney song and always inspires me

Oh! Michael, all the lines are down, it's Australia Day again,
Everytime the wheel slows down, I think of all my friends,
Whatever happened to the days way back (when) the Bondi Lifesaverwas always raging,
I'm standing here in Oxford Street, and the ghosts are howlin'
and geez it's raining --
CHORUS;
I said: 'don't waste time. these are the best years of our lives,'
I said: 'don't waste time, these are the best years of our lives.'
I wish I had been around when the Bondi Icebergs reigned
Sometimes I sit and think of it, and I dream of better days,
Whatever happened to the days way back, in the nineteen thirties
All those endless parties,
I'm still too young to understand, how it was back then
When the party ends
CHORUS;
They say the circle turns around, there'll be better days,
And I don't mind waiting
I wish time had stopped ten years ago,
But I'm learning slowly, life is always changing.
CHORUS;
I got a letter from Doctor Pepper, ten thousand words to the page,
He was talking about Gurdjieff, and I dozed off about half way,
Whatever happened to the days way back, when the world was safe
And it seemed worth saving,
We search for leaders on our hands and knees
But don't ask David, 'cos he's still crazy!
CHORUS;

Favorite song:
Lost in the Supermarket by the clash

I've gine into why 3 times on urban alone

Theme tune (taxamo's entry music):
Dancing with myself by Billy Idol

Heartbeats by The Knife was breaking into the leader positoin but really it says nothing about or to me, so it remains just a fave. Like I think we're alone now, which i also love :D

Because it sounds amazing and is a great song.

PS the clash are fucking rubbish.

i agree, they are - this is a the song where they aren't.

This is the song that clash fans hate, cos it actually means something and isn't filtered through genres, accents and experiences the band had nothing to do with.

I enjoy maybe 4 other clash songs, but mainly cos i got used to them as a kid. Yiu know having to listen to the best punk band ever looking for what i was missing before realising they were gash.

wicked :)

ETA: oh its a joke ok then. Perfectly legitimate to have John Hughes theme music as ur fave song imho, if Hughes movies evoke the same emotions as they do inme it almost quite plausible. Fucking great films. What a dude.

see, i denied it cause isitme called me a puff...

but now i feel better about it...thanks Taxamo, i DO love that music v v much. :o :)

its so swoony and makes me feel wobbly. :D

i love it :D

Nah, all their songs are shit.

Between

Les Fleur - Minnie Ripperton
If You Want Me to Stay - Sly & The Family

Or one other that I can't believe I can't remember.

I've played these several times daily for years:
Don't Look Back

If I could find the words to say
The sun shines in your eyes
So brighten up my city sky

Break out the news, it's back again
The voice that tried to sing
She don't hang on
And hope's never going to teach me

Wake up the story's over
Climb aboard I'm going nowhere

And understand if I must say
I'd give both these wings away
I'd steal a car to drive you home
I don't look back on an empty feeling

Repaint the Blues, my saving grace
Is lost without a trace
The morning sun's a fire in space

She lives in your life everyday
Stretching time to stay
Got my mind set something else so it's hard to see

I don't need a guiding light to lead me in the dark

And understand if I must say
I'd give both these wings away
I'd steal a car to drive you home
I don't look back on an empty feeling

(Don't look back) on an empty feeling
(Don't look back) on an empty feeling
(Don't look back) on an empty feeling
(Don't look back) on an empty feeling

I Need Direction
http://uk.youtube.com/watch?v=X5FVm5fhGH8

I used to feel fine
you were to be mine
I need direction
to take me to you
I've asked the sunshine
shadowed the skyline
I need direction
to take me to you
I get brainwaves
I get visions
slow reaction
superstition
I need the ways and means to get through
I need an open heart to look to
nobody sees the same way I do
I need direction to get through
followed the ley lines
the faded out road signs
I need direction
to take me to you
I get spellbound
I get visions
slow advances
indecision
I need the ways and means to get through
I need an open heart to look to
nobody sees the same way I do
I need direction to get through
Honest I'd feel fine
if you were to be mine
I need direction to take me to you
And my absolute favourite, now and for quite some time.
Flowing
gonna chase the sun from east to west
if love's a wave i'm riding on the crest
everything i want's within my grasp
it's time to nail my colours to the mast

new rivers flowing
reaching for the sea
the scattered seeds we're sowing
the fruit is on the tree

waiting for the winter to abate
a chance to start again and wipe the slate
the bitter taste that doesn't go away
the shimmer of the headlights in the grey
