Do you ever reply to people with lines from films?

I rarely get to use it but if I can I'll shoehorn in a "I ain't got time to bleed" from predator.

I've been known to use lines from the cult/unknown 'classic' Two Idiots In Hollywood. The script is so good you can practically walk around all day quoting from it and people just assume you're naturally hilarious.

Kinda, I don't tend to quote the line from a film but use the basic wording of it, its fucking obvious if you know where the quote is from but doesn't make you sound like a twat if no one does.

Parapharsing sounds about the right word.

Does anyone actually say it though? I thought it was just written down. Yes, you do shine. You're a shining wit. :)

lol, fanx! :D
Danny has a funny turn and says it constantly for a while.

'REDRUM! REDRUM!' etc, in a stupid voice. :o

...more randomly than to actually answer people. :)

When mates stay over after a drink I sometimes get my little boy to wake them up very early with that line. He always gets it wrong though. He waggles his thumb instead and says "Red Thumb, Red Thumb!"

He's the evilest. My mates don't stay over much these days.

That's cute. :D
If I had a son, I would get them to do that too.

sometimes i do say

"a dabble will do ya"

which comes from "one flew over the cuckoos nest"

no idea what it means

and i've been saying it for years

If I go round someone's house and it's a bit untidy I do have a tendency to say 'Dennis, there's some lovely filth down 'ere' in the voice of a peasant. :)

Sometimes when I'm surprised by something I say 'Great Odin's Raven' from Anchorman.

Also me and the fen_wife if we're about to pop out for a minute say. 'Back in a mo.....<long pause>..... a sex mo' which is from Bottom.

There's loads of others, but they're all really rubbish - it's all a bit like Colin from the fastshow though isn't it.

I often accuse my husband of being Colin Hunt - he can't see a plane without shouting "Boss, Boss!" as in "Fantasy Island" starts the car engine by saying either "Flame On" or "Atomic Batteries to Power" and if sometting surprises him may exclaim "By the Vishanti".

Oh my life is such fun!

It's late at night. I have been a bit of a pig on the "imbibing" front. I always find myself bawling out.

"I DON'T KNOW WHAT I WANT, BUT I WANT IT NOW!!!"

Anyone old enough to guess where this comes from!?!

Unfortunatly yes having a discusion with a pscyhologist about the morality of war and how you could possibly shoot women and children .replying with
"simple dont lead them so much" was probably not my finest moment .Some people no sense of humour :) .

apparently I really upset my girlfriend when she was saying she'd like kids and I said

"no thanks I've already got one" :o

She, being from foreign lands, did not get the reference , cue many accusations of me being an insensitive bastard and I just thought I was being silly

about 70 per cent of my conversations, and most of my posts on here, include lines from books, song lyrics and films. lots of people dont notice. But thats okay. ;)
