Everyone does. It's Correct.

Well I'm certainly pleased to read this, as I have a long standing arguement with my other half who insists on drinking a glass of white wine with fish & chips, whereas I will only countenance a mug of tea

On special occasions I've been known to have fish & chips and champagne though. That works.

Champagne with fish and chips :D

I drink wine with every meal

even when i'm 'dry' i can't eat food without a glass of wine. it's just wrong

I don't drink now but when I did I could very rarely, unless I was out, drink wine with dinner - has to be water - unless it's pizza or something like that - then it has to be coke

steak and coca cola?

its just wrong

wine adds to the taste of your food imo

Coffee or water with breakfast and lunch, wine with evening meal (and occasionally lunch). Don't like squash and fizzy drinks and tea makes me nauseous so I avoid it :hmm:

I gotta have something to drink with my food.

However i can't drink booze with my food. Not even wine.

So I'm often seen with both a pint and a coke in restaurants. Or Coke and a glass of wine.
Coke for the food and booze for before and after I've eaten.

This has gotten me some looks in the past. Why is he ordering two drinks?

If coke aint available.
Lemonade, ice cold squash or water or something. Occasionally milk, if its say a cafe.

I voted for jug but I don't use a jug, in fact I rarely use a table as it's always covered with rubbish as the dining room is the junk room. I don't even have a glass, I have a bottle.. This is because I am extremely clumsy and cannot be trusted not to spill water all over the sofa or the laptop. I always have this bottle though it's not limited to mealtimes.

If I'm going out or sometimes at weekends I will have wine but I'm allowed that in a glass as long as I'm careful.
