I'm impressed...I didn't think anyone paid attention when I posted a pic.

If its really long could you maybe pay someone to cut it and then do the expensive bit (the dying) yourself?

Ah yeah, I love looking at the Quintessential thread. I don't post many pics on there though, so don't comment much.

I'm not sure about the dyeing bit tbh. Was thinking more along the lines of letting it go back to what it actually is, which is virtually 90% bright silver at the front and 65/35 silver at the back ... mebbe stripping out the remaining natural colour at the back.

Ach, I dunno :D

It's well annoying at the moment though.

Treat yourself, you'll feel nicer for it!

Then post the pics on the ugly thread! :D

I was gonna pm to say what you up to tomorrow cus I'm boreds, we could have a go at it together :D

I've got to go to the GP, then some counselling assessment fucking shit. None of which makes any slightest difference, hoops to jump through to keep people off my back :D Dunno about later in the afternoon/evening though, will text you if I'm not feeling mauled :D x x

ahh ok, found out I have the day to myself, so may shoot some porn.

10 minutes with the clippers once every week or two. And I make myself a cup of tea and ask myself if I'm going anywhere nice this year.

Even people getting counselling, need to keep their hair neatly trimmed.

Go for it. Sounds like a better way to spend the day than mine :D

I gradually cut my ex husband's hair shorter and shorter till clippers were the next natural step  Snip snip snip to clip clip clip, fekking ace :D

It is a piece of piss innit  even doing your own. I can't work out how people can have the coordination to cut their own with scissors in a mirror though.

tried to twice but my freaky thick wire-like hair shorted the clippers once and overheated them the second time. those hairdressers must have special clippers wot mortals can't get hold of.

I got a compliment on my self hair-cutting skillz the other day .

I find it pretty easy, even without a mirror. Basically I place one hand on my scalp and clip any hair that sticks out between my fingers with the other hand, allowing for it to be longer on top than on the sides. I get better results than I ever got at a poxy hairdressers and if it looks shite, at least it's my own fault and I don't have to hand over money through gritted teeth.

i'm growing my hair longer (to achieve a softer look, and frame my face like:D) so i get it trimmed every 4 or 5 months at the moment, at a hairdressers in Stoke Newington (Beaucatcher) costs about £30, but it's only a couple of times a year

When I was about 10 years old my mum took me to the barber's and he truely made me look like a twat, so ever since I cut my hair myself. I'm not very good at it, but at least I'm better than said barber. And if things go horribly wrong, at least I can blame myself.

I wouldn't even attempt to cut my own hair, tbh, with the exception of a fringe. Especially where layers are involved. Your hair is curly though, isn't it, cesare, so it doesn't need to be even? :D

I've cut my own hair for at least the last 10 years, not hard with a hair trimmer and a short hair style (if things go really bad a number 1 all over cures all problems) :D

It's kind of wavy; I can straighten it easy enough, or make it look curlier. But you're right, the even-ness doesn't really matter.

I might have a go at this once I've finished my coffee :hmm:

No. My mum does it.
