Do you call your cat when you can see them but they can't see you?

I want to know how my cat knows it's my car -

Cats hearing is loads better than humans and they calll tell the difference between loads of different vehicles. All of our cats have known my cars and hubby's motorbikes.

I always whistle loudly when I see the cat in the back garden moving really slowly and concentrating really hard on watching some small critter or other. The little fucker jumps clean out of his skin every time
