Do you believe in ghosts??

I don't believe in ghosts, but I love hearing my friends' ghost and supernatural stories. Most people seem to have one.

In my teens and early 20s I spent at least one night every weekend hanging around with my mate telling each other spooky shit we had read about in various books (and her case, her own spooky experiences too). It was great fun. We used to frighten the life out of each other!

Only passingly. My mum was friends with his first wife Elvira - she didn't hear much from Charles after her death, but we followed the whole saga aghast when the details were reported in the news.
I never met Elvira, well not in life, although Charles would sometimes say she was in the room. Not that I believed him at the time of course. This was when his writing career had somewhat stalled and I think we all assumed he was just looking for the attention.

A cursory Google has now revealed to me that never mind concluding with a workable punchline, I'm not even going to get a clifftop wheelchair accident and Cyndi Lauper's 'Time After Time' out of this. Screw Charles and his wives.

I think maybe when I die, I'll come back and haunt danny la rouge as the ghost of disappointment past.

WoooOoooooOoooOoooOOOOO, I've cut the brakes on your car and bought up all the £2 DVDs in nearby charity shops. You hear that, danny la rouge? I bet you'd prefer some half burnt slices of wheat product now.
There's a DVD in Sue Ryder I think you'd like. They were surprised to see it back.

No I don't believe in ghosts. As I age I am increasingly becoming less and less persuaded or convinced by things so called "spiritual" including ghosts and the church!

Plus I made a deal with my dad, that if it was possible to come back and send a message to me from beyond the grave, he would do this. He has now been dead a few years and he hasn't once come back to give me any messages! This is adequate proof for me .. :-)

I'm an atheist but I've experienced things that could be described as ghosts. Not sure that believing in ghosts is mutual exclusive to being an atheist. What is a ghost? I don't feel that what I saw were dead people coming back or their undead souls still rattling around, but it was bloody creepy and weird. Beyond that I have no answers.
