Do the local children play in the street where you live?

I remember when children used to play on old WWII bomb sites. There doesn't seem to be any left any more and I doubt parents would let their children play on them anyway

The little kids play out on our street every day, and it's a joy to hear them. Yes, they get on my tits eventually, but on the whole it's a life-affirming noise.

We also have the tweenies and the teens who congregate on the community centre steps opposite my house. A few weeks ago some young teenage girl was on her mobile in the street and being very loud, so I had t go out and tell her to be quiet, and she was fine.

On the whole, I live in an Asian community with lots of Asian families, and their kids are adorable and well-behaved, and very respectful. I tell all my friends to move here, it's way cool.:)

I think I'd be too scared to tell a teenager to quieten down. You'd probably get stabbed for your troubles

I'm in a right bad mood. A friend of my b/f's nephew was stabbed to death last night for no reason whatsoever

Only seen them with parents occasionally round here in Wimbledon.

Saw them quite a lot playing in the street when I was in Walthamstow, which I found very positive. Quite a lot of the tamil kids would play cricket variants in the quieter side roads. In fact generally it was the non-white kids more often than white kids, although you did see some of the latter.

Oh no :( Not another one. Sorry to hear this. Where did this happen?

Oh and as for obscenities yelled by children. I told the kids to stop chucking gravel after they smacked me in the neck with it and I was graciously told by an I'd-assume-to-be-8-year-old to suck his cock.

e2a first part should've quoted Minnie

That's dreadful.:(

Most of them, a couple arent allowed at all.Mine arent allowed to go 'down the field' which is only a great big strip of grass and banking but I cant see whats going on down there and the kids are alot older than mine. Id rather they werent mixing with them.

Mine play in front of the houses here where we can keep an eye on them. They are 8 and 10.
