But parties rise and fall, a bit like football clubs really. What happened to Nottingham Forest, Sheffield Wednesday, Wimlbedon, Crystal Palace etc? And look at Reading, Fullham, Charlton, Blackburn Rovers. Political parties wax and wane in importance, who knows what support could rise for a party in times of crisis? The Conservatives lost a lot of MPs and support in 1997, a third of the Cabinet lost their seats and it can be interesting to speculate on which parties could be future prospects. This is why I wish we had PR to allow some smaller parties to get national representation and coverage.

All those groups to the left of the Labour party bar the Greens are irrelevant just as all the right of Conservatives bar UKIP are irrelevant.Yes they need each other to fulfill their fantasies that they may ever be part of a gpovernment of this country .The SWP are obsessed with the BNP just as the BNP are obsessed with he far left - I read both their websites with a mix of amusement and boredom -especially the SWP-Respect stuff.
Its like those of us who watch Premiership football having listen to Luton town and Watford wittering on about their pathetic rivalry as if it mattered .

Both ends of the spectrum are concerned with saying how they know we should live our lives, and therefore how you should live your life.

so you see no moral difference between a group that blames the problems of society on those most vulnerable, low paid immigrant workers (and here in germany often the homeless) and those who blame societys problems on those in charge of society, the rich and powerful?

I just think the far left and the far right have so much in common they should be shagging each other.Instead of left-wing or right wing why don't we just have The Working Class Wing.

I think they are mate, but the difference is that i want peace justice and freedom for the common person through means other than political. I believe history shows that politics cannot achieve your objectives. Only through means other than politics can justice for ordinary people be achieved.

But a small difference, maybe just semantics. I don't want any power over anyone else, and nor do i subscribe to anyone having power over me. This 'power' thing is what corrupts the human soul, so that with even the best intentions, those with power cannot help but abuse it.

That is an example of why i say politics as we know it cannot solve the problems of human societies.

Far left, far right: in the end it's all the same. I mean the same in terms of outcomes. Show me in history where i'm wrong...

Far left and the far right are the same. If you really want to do something for the working class start from grass roots.Find out what the local communities need.The only thing that stops extreamism is community spirt.
