Do people who are left leaning, make you want to hate Islam?

TonkaToy said:
I didnt read what you had posted. I found out the thread had been binned before I read your posts - by which point I was too annoyed to really read your posts.

Regardless of your views on Islam, there should have been no course of action a normal poster (other than the thread author) could have taken that results in getting a thread binned.
Oh great, you threw all that boorish neanderthal chest beating crap at me without even looking to see why I'd binned the thread? I bet you shout at girls in shops for short-changing you without checking your receipt too.

No and No.

You know what, I find that very hard to believe....I've spent the last thirty years working with small children, and in my experience the ones who make the loudest noises about perceived wrongs are the ones who have forgotten why they are stamping their cross little feet....

I'm at the office, waiting to go home for dinner, and my wife calls up and tells me she's lost the fucking car keys.

Sorry for the derail; I needed to vent.

Luckily, we have beer here.

Portadown Poundstretcher "Saddest place on Earth"
by our retail correspondent, Kaye Mart

A United Nations survey has declared Portadown's Poundstretcher store "The saddest place on Earth", heading off strong competition from Bangladesh, Chad and Strabane.

The international team of inspectors was impressed with the store's shabby appearance, worthless stock, demeaning service and 'interesting' smell, but have stressed that it was the people of Portadown itself who made the crucial difference.

"They brilliantly capture the futility of consumerism," explained UN statistician Kim-Song Ahmed Mbeki. "Despite having no money to spare, they still have to acquire pointless bits of plastic crap to feel they belong to society. Although I've got to admit, the batteries are a bargain."

The happiest place on Earth is Disneyworld.

Glad you like it Johnny...just remember...I posted that link before laptop!

Shit woman, the Portadown News, and Lady Whatsherface. You're an eclectic and well read individual.

I'll be saying goodnight. The car, the key and the wife, will be downstairs directly.

I'll remember that statement when a moderator makes the "loudest noises" about a "percived wrong" when I flood an "interesting" / "important" thread with huge cut n pastes.

I also can't understand why you felt that thread had to be binned, rather than warning the poster who was posting reams of C&P to stop.

Because I was fucking knackered (still am) and pissed off with you (as in Urban75 posters generally...bunch of whining ingrates)...binning saves a lot of time and effort faffing about...why should I waste time and effort going into each post and removing text when I can just go "Fuck this for a game of soldiers..BIN" ?

No, don’t bin.

I largely agree with Tonka Toy’s post – I just think he’s got it the wrong way around.

The people I speak to whenever I return to the UK are truly and increasingly tired of hearing about Islam - and afraid of it. Those sentiments aren’t caused by the Left. People don’t ‘hate Islam’ because of the Left.

However, there is a real sense in which people are coming to ‘hate the Left’ because of the manner in which significant sections of the organised Left have associated themselves with the cause of Islam.

To give one anecdotal example: I live just outside London on the edge of the largest housing estate in Europe. Eighteen months ago, for the first time ever in my life, there was a Saint George’s Day parade down the street outside my house – as British politics becomes increasingly sectarian there are more and more demonstrations of identity and allegiance by just about every cultural and sectarian group. But what was noticeable was that one of the largest floats / trucks in the parade had a gallows set up on it with an effigy of a figure being hanged. The placard round the effigies neck said the figure was George Galloway.

I was working abroad this last Saint George’s Day, so I don’t know if GG was hanged again. I’m told, though, that the parade was much bigger than the year before and covered with crosses of Saint George and blaring out patriotic music and songs.

The Left isn't solely responsible for the increasingly sectarian nature of British politics. The SWP, in particular, has simply tail-gated the trend.

But the Leftists who extol Islam uncritically have compromised all progressives in the process. And you can’t escape from that fact by binning it.

As to deleting it, why didn't you tell Dhimmi to stop and delete all the crap he posted, why bin a thread that is 17 pages long because 1 poster decided he wanted to destroy the debate?

Because you didn't like the debate, because it went outside your monothought and that you wanted it stopped.

Just remember all that the next time you try and deny that this is a monothought clique of a board.

Remember the fact that this thread went outside your little monothought and you binned it.

I have said before, be as monothought as you like, but don't then try and post saying it ain't so. You closed a thread you didn't like the tone of despite the fact that quite a few of the posters on this board agreed.

You don't mind me starting threads that no one agrees to, but it just riled you that not only did I start the thread but people agreed with it, and you didn't like it.

Yep, stick to threads slagging off the police, christianity and tories in future.

Dare to criticise the shit-stinking religion called Islam and it's element of intolerant, violent, murderous adherants and you're fucked.

People who are left leaning generally make me want to hate them when they start chasing simplistic moral and soundbite politics, completely framed in their 'Us and Them' mentality - as I and others pointed out on Dhmmi's 'We are all Hezbollah' thread, the situation in the ME and the way the 'Xtian' nations continue to deal with Islam are far more nuanced, complex and subtle than 'X Good/Y bad'.

As with all religious types I try and take everyone as they come, usually with the proviso (prejudice?) that they will not be capable of completely free thought or action.

excellent post Tomsy, welcome to P/P,:p

btw, any more info on that GG incident, worrying, strange things are certainly happening: on saturday 500 Orangemen and their familes marched thru Sheffield, wtf was that about?

Most lefties I know despise Islam and rightly so, as a backward and fuckwitted belief created by a schizo child molester. Don't taint socialists with the liberal shite of the SWP, they have as much in common with socialism and the national socialists.
