Given that the Wikipedia project has many checks and balances fitted into the system, I would find it as reliable as any other encyclopedia, if not moreso.

In fact, couple of months ago there was a report on Ceefax that a study has shown that Wikipedia is "at least as reliable as other encyclopedias". One major advantage being that other encyclopedias go out of date.

I already understand that, because I have (among other subjects) studied history. I also understand about context, something you appear to (unsurprisingly) have no grasp of.

You may find it as reliable as you like, I don't, and I don't know any academic who finds it reliable enough to recommend wikipedia's use as a source.

The info in your encyclopedia only changes between editions, the content of wikipedia can change hour from hour, and depends on people noticing changes, and rectifying them if the change is egregious.

That's the whole thing with printed encyclopedias though. They go out of date and then get revised with reference to authoritative information, not with bullshit that some prejudiced schlemiel might insert, as can happen on wikipedia.

I am not a muslim, but I am sometimes appalled by the actions of the UK government. Do you think that everyone like me, who disagree with our government's policy, should also leave? You don't seem to be differentiating between 'hating the country' and 'hating the policies of our government' - I think the latter is much more common, and not confined to any specific religion or ethnic group.
