do a runner!

There are plenty of leaflets around the place, and posters and it gets mentioned on the tfl website, too

I only got an oyster card very recently, though, and only because I found out that one doesn't have to register it, because I will give up the ability to renew it online (even though I like the idea of the automatic renewal thingy) in order to avoid the police and others knowing my movements.

i would forget to renew my life, let alone a pissing oyster card

but i am one of those people who thinks tube/trains in london are a greasy little rip off so i already have serious chip on shoulder about the whole thing anyway

there was a journo who found out through the FOI that the police can access every journey you make on this database.
Alternatively he could have read (a) the Data Protection Act and (b) the Regulation of Investigatory Powers Act ... no wonder the government want to restrict the number of FoI requests submitted by journos if this fuckwit is typical ...

Do you think the rates charged for public transport is at all acceptable? He is protesting what is quite simply a punitive, disgusting charge levied by a cunt of a mayor.

Good on him!
