For a dnb night in Brixton I was pleasantly surprised how un-moody it was, how many girls were there and the total lack of blokes trying to feel you up. AND I could wear my cap!

Top MC'ing from mccliche. We were very pleased to see a girl behind the decks too at one stage. Your girlfriend right? Some of the others MC's were a bit hit and miss though...me and my dj life partner have decided we TOTALLY need an MC to raise our dj'ing game. They'll love that at Planet Angel

My only problem was that cos dnb makes me want to dance so much I can't go all night and had to bail out after Nicky Blackmarket.

In conclusion though - an top night, highly recommended. More please!

I would have stayed but the jill I took made me feel lethargic, it was v hot in the dnb room and that fucking dickhead bloke* dampened our enthusiasm a bit.

*He kept grabbing me, putting his arms around me, try to force me to kiss him. I had to push him away several times, he threw an ice cube down treefrog's cleavage

Well, it seemed to be getting emptier, and there was talk of an after party, and also, the sound wasn't doing it for me, when I left my ears felt blocked and I was a bit death, and if I stayed longer it was only going to hurt my ears more...

Yeah I left pretty early but I had my reasons. I also thought that the quality of the drum n bass kept fluctuating - sometimes I'd go in the room and it would be wicked, I'd dance and then it would get a bit a shit, I'd leave, come back, leave, come back etc.... admittedly I prob should have spent more than 3 minutes at a time in there

There is another one with Nicky Blackmarket this Friday too. Different party though & more expensive (not sure that's going work with this venue cos I think they get a lot of people who turn up after 12 cos they know it's usually free/£3/£5).

Anyway, could be good & I'm undecided as yet.

yeh deefa who ran the 'out in the brix' is mc'ing at this one, but apart from that it is a different crew running the night

the next out in the brix will be in September, and has a much better line-up than the last one. will post details when i am allowed to unleash them lol
