Match abandoned at half time! Drains pretty well up on the hill but rain been relentless and did sound like it was getting a bit unsafe.

It was hellish at the County ground and I was hoping for the game to be abandoned, no such luck. Poor performance all round with some woeful passing and clearing the back line.

Rare and welcome home win, good first half and finally got a scrappy goal but under the cosh most of second. bar one cleared off the line Crewe didn't really test our keeper though despite being mainly on top. Back in the play-off spots!

    4-0 win against Notts County.
Poor opponents but good result. Winning most home games now, seem to have found the team hidden in the squad and started to offload some of those who didn’t work out.

Away at Crystal Palace in the FA Cup which should be a day out.

Another poor performance with at least 4 chances squandered with Norwood managing to miss from 3 yards out in front of the goal.

Red Card for Cowley though, clearly the beginning of the collapse :D

Cracking away win a Rodney Parade, scored early for once then again just before the half but then immediately gave away a soft penalty to get pegged back. Newport then went down to ten for a professional foul/lasy man and Williams buried a 40 yard free kick. Easier after that and he got his hattrick, then another great breakaway goal. With MK losing only a few points off automatic.

Good win against Morecambe made even better with Kevin Ellison not having a chance and getting subbed. Roll on Yeovil on Saturday and then Spurs a week on Friday for the FA Cup.

Ridiculous, go two up in our local derby then gift Cheltenham one and goalie fluffs to let them equalise. Could have been knocking on the door of autos.

Astounding performance from the Mariners at Exeter. One up at half time with a makeshift defence. Then one of those defenders gets sent off. Exeter equalise and Grimsby win a penalty within a minute which Rose duly puts away to put Town ahead again.
Incredible job hanging on, three off the line, one disallowed, another off the bar and numerous amazing saves by McKeown. Phew!

We’re running a bit short of defenders now with injuries and suspension , but what we have seem to be getting by.

So two pretty terrible away performances, a win somehow dug out today after losing at half time, and due to everyone nearby doing worse our lead is now six points.

All that 'winning playing badly stuff' applies here hopefully.

After the disappointment of getting pegged back at Whaddon Road the delights of a last gasp winner! Scored in the first and last minutes with the inbetween including a lot of good play by Northants and their equaliser. Cooper seems to to do well with subs and they changed it and having been on the front foot Northants seemed to settle for the draw but we kept knocking and got in right at the death. best feeling :D

We had most of the possession, most of the chances and we still only manage to draw with Macclesfield. The wasted chances are going to cost us dear if this carries on.

Few changes with the transfer window for Rovers
In - Ishmael Brown and David Perkins
Out (on loan) - Cole Stockton

Unexpected bonus for us to get Doidge back due to Bolton's chairman being such a chancer, apparently we were even paying his wages for months never mind not getting the fees. You'd worry he might not be too happy to have to come back and he'd just bought a house up there poor bugger but he's a real pro and expect him to get his head down. if he works well with McCoulsky who we've brought in from Brizzle could suddenly have an embarrassment of striking riches. Otherwise got a young prospect in from Whitby who plays left sided back and midfield IIRC.

So after all the shenanigans and not being sure if we could play him Doidge is on the bench for a tough away game at Oldham. Like signing a million pound championship striker!

Good result today at Cheltenham, coming back from a goal down at half time to winning 1 - 3 with Norwood, Miller and Banks all scoring and many more opportunities despite the best efforts of the referee and one of his linesmen.

Home to second placed Bury, Doidge back in the starting line up, great first half and went ahead but squandered a few chances and as has been case a bit too often came back to haunt us as Bury picked up and turned it round and we didn't really have an answer. Difference between an automatics and a maybe play-offs side I suppose.

A shit day at the office today, losing 2-1 to Swindon at home.

Back to winning ways in the week against an out of sorts Grimsby, Stevenage away today which on form should be a tough test but with Digby back in midfield and Doidge up to speed we're in decent shape for it.

Mansfield away today which is a 40 minute journey as opposed to the usual 2 hours when we play at home. The life of a long distance season ticket holder.

40 mins from Mansfield, and two hours from Prenton...you must live near me....

Having seen the result, I'm quite glad I was working today, and had to miss it.

It was a truly shit showing again, not helped by a lot of poor refereeing decisions. Scotty needs to improve his goal keeping skills otherwise we are just going to lose more and more games.

Great result for us, bit of a change of tactics letting them have more of the ball but worked a treat with only the odd scare. Rearranged home fixture with Mansfield Tuesday, that should tell us whether we've a chance to push on to autos.
See Notts owner has managed to post a picture of his cock to Twitter along with everything else :D

Reverse of our usual last night, battered first half and lucky to only be the one down but turned it round, good sub again from Cooper and got a draw. Those there reckoned Mansfield looked excellent, should think them and Imps are nailed on for autos, but we're not too far behind the other spot.

Horrible by all accounts, few blokes after final whistle wandering around the penalty area looking for poor Monty's teeth.
