Dirty Water Club – garage rock and roll

I'm reading it as something like: Dirty Water will continue as a promoter/label, with gigs now happening at various venues. They're just no longer allied to The Boston.

<?> :confused:

But ...er... I don't really know nuffink about it guv. :o:D

i think they'll still do stuff at the boston. well they are definitely still doing stuff at the boston, just not every week (after May has finished)

bizarrely, i just got their mailout and there's nothing about it at all, just the usual gig list (Billy Childish with Frank Sidebottom)

that gig was on quite a while ago, did it not just get through late?
the billy childish gigs are still carrying on every 2 months anyway.

looks like it's worse than we thought

The last ever Dirty Water Club will be Friday 19th June with legendary
American sixties garage band, GONN, with support from The Masonics and
Speak & the Spells.

A small handful of future dates are being taken on by Dirty Water
Records but as from 19 June the club as such will no longer exist.

The record label is going from strength to strength, however, with
new releases more or less on a monthly basis. It is likely that the
label will put on gigs from time to time, but not with any regularity.

"small handful" :(

"small handful" :(

i was talking to the guy last night and it seems like it's booked up virtually every friday till the end of August! and there were quite a few more he is planning too, as they come up. but no never every friday again.

i wouldn't want to be putting a club night with bands on every friday, for like 12 years too! he reckoned something like 1,800 bands altogether, damn
