This is very encouraging news. Where did they get the picket from? Is there some kind of central bob-a-job picketing database for people hanging around? Because if there isn't, there should be.

It's an idea - I'd like to think that Trade Unions could get together with job centres and the voluntary sector who work on the front line with those most vulnerable to nasty employers.

That and I think that as with the statutory Health and Safety notices, they should include one on statutory rights too so that employers cannot feign ignorance. In service industries like catering, these notices should be placed where both employees and customers can see them. Thus the system becomes self-policing.

Praxis is not achieved cos some people simplistically took part in one small activity within one issue. If you are being generous the info we have been supplied could be said to have included theoretical preparation, but one very limited and localised campaign with no wider effects does not imply theoretical development. And that is what praxis is. Theory and practice joined together and practiced in enough places for their to be qualitative effects, which enable theoretical progression.
