Dilemma at work: managers fucking each other

so what should i do?

Frankly the whole lot of you should be sacked and probably executed for carrying out work discussions on facebook.

That and also non-capitalisation and txtspk in a professional situation.

It's just not professional.
 
To be quite frank, I would not be happy working for a manager that gave me advice on facebook chat with such callous regard for the English language.
 
Demand sex with the AM and cash from the M otherwise you'll bring the whole shebang down like THAT *snap fingers*
 
The existence or otherwise of a relationship between your managers is completely irrelevant to the separate consideration of what relationship you personally should have with those in your team. Don't muddy the waters. If you're right about your chumminess then you are right and that should stand on its own merit. And if you are wrong then the fact that these two might be carrying on inappropriately doesn't make you any less wrong.
 
I don't see the link between their personal life and your work life - if their work performance was affected by their relationship then as a junior employee it's still none of your business.

You are paid to do a job; the fact they are having a relationship doesn't impact on their ability to ask you to do your job properly.

Only solution is to eat your way up the food chain.

Why not just allay their fear that you will spread that gossip?
Arguments like the one you quoted above will end in you getting sacked. It sounds like they are just worried you will tell the underlings what you know and what to keep you from getting too friendly with them, admittedly they are being immature by doing under the guise of professionalism.

If you have the AM on facebook you have some level of friendly interaction with them. Be straight and to the point. 'I WILL NOT TELL THE OTHERS ABOUT YOUR AFFAIR.'....:D
 
here's a good extract of a FB conv i was just having with the AM

AM: dont get too friendly with them
me: i can be friends with who i like!
AM: i mean it, your role is there boss
me: i told you not to get too friendly with your boss but you still did it
AM: thats got notthing to do with this, u are part of managment
me: and?
AM: so u manage them not befriend them
me: please, spare me the hypocrisy
AM: and stop trying to get one over on me
me: well its true!


Each line of this conversation get's more bizarre.

Not even the show-that-was-within-the-extras-show would realsitcially get to line 3 or 4 without a big fat "but fucking them is ok, yes?" :hmm:

It is weird...and clearly weird because neither party actually wanted to say what the conversation was really about..
 
oh and on saturday i got told off for having half a pint on my lunchbreak, then on sunday the AM came in half hour late, stinking of booze having not been home and staying at some guys house :D

Leaving early all the time and drinking during working hours, honestly I'd just fire you.
 
Reasons for Review::hmm:

*Leaving before shift has finished without sufficient reason or permission to do so.
*Not completeling necessary paperwork/duties as outlined in JD
*Drinking alcohol during the working day which is possibly against conditions of employment.
*Defensive and insubordinate to managers when approached about the above.
*Doesn't supervise underlings well or maintain appropriate boundaries.

They could build a case out of this stuff strung out....All you have to do is assure them you are not going to spread their buisness to all the workers and begin to do your job properly of course!..........I am sure they will not mind you telling the internet though. :D
 
no way am i going to let them put me on review but i also dont want to be a cunt and basically blackmail them.
how would they be able to put you on review if you are doing your job properly?

get over it. it's not really that interesting, and you were probably the last person in the office to know anyway....
 
Why do you even care if two of your work colleagues are shagging each other?

They are both adults, and it is none of your business.

I don't even understand why you are having a dilemma about "what to do".

It is surely none of your business. Unless they ask you to join them in some disgusting threesome!
 
it's my business when i'm the supervisor, money goes missing on the AM's shift and they cover it up so the RBM doesn't find out. there are rules about fraternisation at work for a very good reason...

oh and snogging each others face off in the office when the manager is supposed to be conducting the AM's review isn't very professional either :D

well the manager does this as well, he even told me he thought he could get out quicker than me if he really tried for it...

AM is very guilty of this too!

might be fair enough, though the manager has let me go to the pub before on my lunch

heh, i admit all of it, i just know they do the same too :D

i guess they could make a case, but i've never been unprofessional at work. i've maintained friendships along with good working relationships at shops like this for 10 years now and haven't crossed any boundaries. also, i have pictures of the manager giving piggy backs to members of staff around nightclubs at 2 in the morning so i don't think they could get me for unprofessional behaviour with work colleagues :D

heh, i know they probably could build a case, but I have plenty of information that they definitely wouldn't want to surface if they did decide to go down that route!
