Digital cameras under £100

boohoo

No.
Any recommendations? Or good websites to look at? My last camera got stolen so my mum is buying a new one for me ( bless her!). I don't need anything too flash. I would like a good zoom.

any ideas??

:)

my first and formost recommendation would be pay more than this for a camera...

my second would be that second hand this isn't so true...

I would advise caution, I bought cheap one which failed quite quickly, I had this changed under warranty. This second one lasted for about six months, it has failed. Having emigrated it is not possible to change it. The 'universal warranty' is not valid in Portugal. So I have bought a Pentax, which was dearer, and, so far, better

I was thinking I could throw in some extra money so that the choice is better. Saying that my last camera was 3.2 mega pixel with very good zoom, was about four years old, had cost about £300 and is now worth very little second hand cos it's so out of date. But when it came to taking photos it did a very good job!

(my old camera was a Pentax - I'd rather go for brands that specialize in photography!)

Not quite under £100 but I have just ordered one of these(fuji if you wanna know before clicking)

Girl's bf says he's dealt with the company loads and the camera is the one down from his and this is the cheapest he could find it anywhere.

<spit> PC world<spit> have the newer one cheaper but it doesn't have the batteries and charger so it's 6 and 2 3's as it were.

Cheers for the reassurance Bob :)

I'm going digital  I will be able to take photos of the fluffy finches and tits in my garden :D
And put photos online!! It'll be a whole new world :o

I thought you were only 22 or summat, you been into pcs since you were wee? Or you been fibbing about your age?

My camera has arrived :D
The battery is charging as I type and I am VERY impressed at the speed of service!!

I have taken some, and got them onto the pc and am trying to work out how to get them to flickr, and my head hurts now :( Too much new stuff makes me

I will hopefully sort it either after a relaxing smoke or tomorrow ;)

Make sure you size them to 1024x768, or as near-as (eg longest side 1024) as Flickr won't show anything bigger on the free account & all you will end-up doing is wasting your monthly bandwidth if you upoad anything larger.

*bump*

boohoo, what did you get in the end?

It's looking like it'll cost me about £70+vat and recorded post to get my compact digital fixed (probably end up near enough £100), so it might be worth me getting a new one instead, as long as it has the same memory cards ;)

Can anyone offer any advice on a camera for less that £100... it's to use more for sketchbook purposes than taking decent shots (I have my SLR for that)... the largest I would print photos would be 6x4, so don't really need loads of mega pixels, just a good hardy brand that ideally takes SD cards like this.

Cheers :)

I'm not just looking for the cheapest one though... I'm looking for recommendations from people that might already have a camera that's decent(ish).
