Anyway, teles (especially Slimlines) are for playing, not for shooting people with a la Stradlin.

That sort of behaviour is for the likes of players of Les Paul "Gold Tops" and all kinds of BC Rich weirdness, or even strats if you're a complete pervert. A tele is a serious guitar, the three piece suit of the guitar world.

I appreciated it when Axl played a white grand piano in the cold November rain and my mum appreciated his little white spandex shorts and boots combo.

Actually, my biggest problem with G 'n R back in the late 80's was meeting some really good looking woman, hitting it off with them brilliantly in a bar, knowing the night was gonna end with a good bonk...then finding out they were Axl Rose fans. No amount of substance abuse could reverse the psychic/physiological/genital disappointment I'd experience after that fucking bombshell...
