what about the best fight of all time

ricky 'the drogan' steamboat vs the macho man randy savage

wrestlemania III

it had the great build up story line that savage (real surname poffo) had 'crushed the larynx' of steamboat when he'd won the inter cont belt off him months earlier

steamboat had been out of action since (real reason was paternity leave)

vince mcmahon was a great commentator

i loved the storyline where he got so pissed off that he ended up jumping in

i reckon it was better in those days when he was commentating and getting so angry about the disgraceful behaviour of the wrestlers than when he did that whole 'evil boss' storyline

Yeah things were better when Vince at least pretended he didn't own the whole shebang outright :D

he was better as a commentator tru

but not as good as Jesse & Gorrila Monsoon!

I am pretty fucking disappointed that I am as yet the only poster to give props to Foley on this thread.

mankind was awesome but his other characters pissed me off

that storyline where he was having a breakdown and was a different character every week was class tho

'dude love' ffs :D

I've taken a trip down memory lane (Wikipedia) and remembered Hacksaw Jim Duggan (with 2x4 :D)

Also - Lex Luger going from villain to hero with his powerslam of Yokozuna on the deck of a US Aircraft Carrier (how brilliant does that sound written down? :D)

Finally, Papa Shango scared the shit out of me when I was younger.

I thought Mankind was an idiot

and was no longer into wrestling after that

I've read some good story's about him doing the 'no holds barred' type matches (I can't remember what they were called)

He's a legend for sure but Never a wrestler i liked when I was into wrestling

Shit, Mr Perfect and Miss Elizabeth dead? I never realised.

I used to love WWF when I was a kid - we got Sky very early on and I used to love watching it. Royal Rumble was totally my fave - I'd love when someone would come into the ring and get thrown straight out.

:D

- remember watching this live.

Ted Dibase AKA Million Dollar Man was the most underrated wrestler imo.

And what he did to Dusty Rhode's bitch made me cry.

Best heel ever has to be razor roman really. I loved him back in the day.

best tag team: take your pick from edge & christian, hardy boyz, dudleys/team 3d.(guess which era i started wtaching pro wrestling again!)

Currently loving the work of miz/morrison, l.a.x and motor city machineguns. All class but far to new to be talked out as greatest.

dave

Oy a mi, chico, take a look at de bad guy

Razor's edge is a great move to do if you have a little brother/cousin/nephew

Foley is god!

Him getting thrown off the hell in a cell by the undertaker is possibly the coolest thing i have ever seen. Loved the whole rock n sock connection stuff as well.

He is funny.

dave

Always rated larry the king lawler until he lost that fatefull 'foot match' and had to kiss his opponents manky feet.

I loved the Undertaker disappearing after Yokozuna got every single bad guy in the WWF to rush the ring and beat him up and they opened the urn and it turns out it was just eery green smoke in there all along. Yokozuna wheels the coffin containing the Undertaker off, all victorious like and then you hear the BONG! And the lights go out, BONG! and there's the undertaker, being all spooky, like up on the big screen

if i remember correctly, lawlers foot was really manky and black where as bret harts looked fresh and only the merest bit fruity.

dave

who was the female wrestler who used to wear combats and bellytops and always had her thong straps sticking out? Rina or Rita or something...

Lita.

She left after the whole matt hardy/lita/edge love triangle thingy that was happening in real life got turned into a very public angle.

Shes in a band now or something.

she was class. Hoping she will turn up on TNA sooner or later.

That's it! Yeah, I liked her. Always wanted her to kick the shit out of Chyna.
