I dont watch these programmes because they make me feel endlessly shit about myself.
once I'm out of uni I am now determined to save up and get a bit of lypo. All I see is beutiful women on the TV, in Magazines, on Posters every fucking second of the day and it just makes me think "I'm sooooo ugly" and I logically know that of course these images arn't real, the magazines are airbrushed, she has implants but it still has a really bad affect on me. That I cant look like that!
I get incredibly jealous of blokes magazines too, my boyfreind doesn't read them or have porn but even the page 3 sun sets me off. I just think he'll wake up and realise what an ugly thing I am in comparison to everyone else. And he always tells my I'm beutiful but I just don't believe that he could possibly think that!
and I KNOW I'm talking crap. But if you see these images enough it's going to have an affect isn't it.

Yep this is another thing that pisses me off - there's about 3 of these programmes around, add to that the magazines and supermodel programmes and all that shit and the pressure and focus is just fucking IMMENSE.
I try to ignore it but sometimes I read/watch stuff out of boredom and find myself thinking "Oh maybe I should update my make up and buy this and do that etc...." and then I go noooooooo don't listen to them!!

i love watching 10 years younger. it doesn't make me cross or feel bad about myself. i tune in every week and wonder at the marvels a large wedge of cash can get you these days.

im NOT a fan of 10 years younger or its presenter...and all those surgery shots..nasty or what?
when this programme first came on i was convinced that the plastic surgery governing body or professional organisation was funding it in some way..its VERY pro comestic surgery, which is presented as perfectly normal way to "look good"..not as something fairly "drastic" to consider after trying special make up/diets etc have failed..
i feel the presenter is zealously promoting cosmetic surgery,bet she has had loads of work done herself for very minor things
its also all about WOMEN...why doesnt nikki get a few blokes who feel they look tired/older than their age to go under the knife?
at least the new trinny and susanna(have seen once out of curiousity,not too into them either TBH)looks at couples not just woman and AFAIK they focus on clothes/hair/make up/diet/confidence not surgery!
i do feel if people have deep rooted self esteem(sure the media plays a huge role in the epidemnic of body dysmorphia/self esteem issues) probs a nose job say wont make them think they look good/more confident..2 girls i know in real life have had nose jobs and they are still very down on themselves yet they felt a smaller nose was the KEY to happiness
