Nope! The whole point of this debacle is that one of the most powerful people in the US if not the world, was drunk and shot a 78 year old man in the face neck and chest. The victim had a heart attack as the drunkem perpetrator waited 18 hours before he was able or willing to give a statement to the authorities at large. In other words, the yob took 18 hours to sober up before coming forward. The Old Sarge said:It was in response to the quote I posted it with. Are you really that dense?
And when are you going to get it thru your thick skull that no law was broken, no charges were filed/pressed by the victim (the only one in this case that has that "right")?
You're looking to sling mud on the shooter because you dislike him. Admit it.
The Old Sarge

So that's it then...if one sees one almighty cover up of a drunken yob's actions that results in the shooting and subsequent heart attack of another...that's ok yeah? Nobody is allowed to question laws that are there to protect Cheney and company for being brought to book?spring-peeper said:If you are in Saudi, you are subject to Saudi law.

Nahh...you've fucking lost me on that onespring-peeper said:btw - in the "how many posts will u75 make on this thread" pool, what number did you pick?

In anycase...I thought you had me on ignore peepy

There, now the thread looks a lot cleaner and smells nicer, too.
*skips along on my merry little way*
Yeah and public stonings aren't 'illegal' under Saudi law. Does this mean that one isn't allowed to challenge laws made by and for the rich?Yuwipi Woman said:Vimto, being a Moran, is incapable of understanding something as simple as the fact that Texas has its own laws and that what Cheney did wasn't illegal under Texas law.

If you go hunting you accept the risk that your mate will be a twat and shoot you. If you chose your "hunt buddies" right then this statistic is pleasingly small, but either way it's a risk you take when you walk out the house with a shotgun posed attractivly over your arm...vimto said:So that's it then...if one sees one almighty cover up of a drunken yob's actions that results in the shooting and subsequent heart attack of another...that's ok yeah? Hell I'm sure the ruling elite of Saudi Arabia must look in awe at your defence of such blatant misuses of power by your own leaders.

If it's so 'silly', why are there so many lickspittles willing to believe and defend the actions of Cheney and his pathetic attempts to cover up the fact that he was as pissed as a fart when he shot the old man?Bob_the_lost said:If you go hunting you accept the risk that your mate will be a twat and shoot you. He didn't bring charges, are you somehow concerned that this multimillionaire is being abused/silenced/opressed by his richer mate?
This thread is silly.

D'ya think that Texas laws should relenquish the idea that charges/questions should not be allowed to bear on the issue whatsoever?
Come on

Oh so that's it then...TEXAS LAW ROOLS YA BASS!!The Old Sarge said:LOLOLOLOLOLOL Your such a pathetic case you can't even relate to the reality that Texas law doesn't give one tiny, crusty rat's ass what you like, dislike, believe or disbelive, Vomit.

spring-peeper said:Hello darkness, my old friend, I've come to talk with you again,
Because a vision softly creeping, Left its seeds while I was sleeping,
And the vision that was planted in my brain,
Still remains, within the sound of silence.
In restless dreams I walked alone, Narrow streets of cobblestone,
'neath the halo of a street lamp, I turned my collar to the cold and damp
When my eyes were stabbed by the flash of a neon light
That split the night, and touched the sound of silence.
And in the naked light I saw, Ten thousand people, maybe more.
People talking without speaking, People hearing without listening,
People writing songs, that voices never share.
And no one dared, Disturb the sound of silence.
"Fools" said I, "You do not know, Silence like a cancer grows.
Hear my words that I might teach you, Take my arms that I might reach you."
But my words like silent raindrops fell,
And echoed, In the wells of silence
And the people bowed and prayed, To the neon god they made.
And the sign flashed out its warning, In the words that it was forming.
And the sign said, "The words of the prophets are written on the subway walls
And tenement halls." and whisper'd in the sounds of silence.
