... and for the record, I'm not defending the shooter. Just pointing out that you have no legitmate point when it comes to "charges" in this case. Charges are not filed by the police when no law is broken ... at least not in the world I live in. I'm not too sure about yours.

Nope! The whole point of this debacle is that one of the most powerful people in the US if not the world, was drunk and shot a 78 year old man in the face neck and chest. The victim had a heart attack as the drunkem perpetrator waited 18 hours before he was able or willing to give a statement to the authorities at large. Vimto, being a Moran, is incapable of understanding something as simple as the fact that Texas has its own laws and that what Cheney did wasn't illegal under Texas law. If Texans don't like what has occurred they can change the law. I've spent a bit of time in Texas and I doubt that they would do that as have a rather free-wheeling take on life and this is probably within the bounds of "normal" behavior.
