I wish I was part of the van dyke posse

I love that Dick's hair and teeth match. :D

His mom jeans are made of awesomesauce too. :D

this is what my life currently amounts too - I'm reduced to listening to The Smiths while staring at a possible bulge in Dick Van Dyke's jeans:mad::(:D

these are mom jeans...

His jeans remind me of the kind of jeans that people (American thing I guess :hmm: ) call 'mom jeans'...its some sort of cut.

It just made me laugh to see the dick van dyke photo of him in what i've always heard and called 'mom jeans'. :D

ooh - yes. do they have elasticated waistbands in some varieties? horrorshow. they look like they're related to stirrup pants too.

haha at dick van dyke in stirrup pants...i'd love to see that too.

hes sorta awesome. :D

when my dad was alive, i used to get all fond for my dad when i watched it, cos there's a resemblance (mostly the nose and ears and big white tache) - but now, he doesn't make me think of my dad at all, which is a relief - i wouldn't want to be sobbing all over the place when sitting down for some quality medical-sleuthery.

awww :)

But heh @ quality medical-sleuthery :D

Dick Van Dyke is just one of those people you know would be awesome to hang out with. :D

OMG I'm ill and have watched way too much DM over the past two days!!!
:([/QUOTE]

just noticed the filepaths on these photos!

Maybe I'm making this up, but wasn't there an episode of Diagnosis Murder in which a murder has all the hallmarks of a vampire, so you're waiting for them to uncover a weirdo-goth killer, except it turns out to be AN ACTUAL VAMPIRE.

Who Dick stakes.

Seriously.

Am I going mad?

A quick google for "diagnosis murder vampire" suggests this may actually have happened.

The first search result is for a bulletin board called The Student Room. Who'dathunkit?

It did happen, first saw that one when I was in Italy, 'tis even more surreal when dubbed into Italian. Think it was some kind of Haloween special, DM doesn't normally go in for that sort of thing. Even the Jesse vs The Aliens one ended up having a logical solution.

their was a (un)real life genuine vampire episode of Diagnosis Murder and I fucking missed it? - (despite being forced to watch it by/with my grandmother, what felt like every single bloody day it was on the BBC the first and second times arround (same goes for Quincy, Murder She Wrote, plus the crime solving Father Dowling and his non male nun)

*has flash back* the very last episode (iirc the one where most the new young characters were Van Dykes) had a 'real-life genuine ghost nurse' saving a life and helping to solve her own murder :D

OMG ace episode on Alibi right now, where DVD plays a whole family, kinda like Eddie Murphy in The Nutty Professor!!!

iirc there's one episode where the whole plot is basically DVD telling the viewers that America would be a much better place and a kiddy wouldnt've died if only they had a NHS.
