DHL don't deliver to E8 and E9, too dangerous

I know the fella. He used to have a big kitchen knife under his bum. I think he may be away after weilding it on someone. I'll get a reminder from someone who knows.

I've just seen a DHL van delivering in Broadway Market, so I think we can file this one under 'urban myth'....

The guy in the wheelchair I once saw having a shit it his wheelchair outside the windows of the Wetherspoons. It was one of my lower Hackney moments.

I have to stand at the bottom of the Narroway for hours at a time and the sheer wide range of nutters is amazing.

I am the offcial giver of directions to legions of cute Japanese girls seeking the Burberry discount wharehouse.

Well if you can get past the SWP shouting at you with a megafone outside M&S then the rest of the Narroway is surprisingly quiet!

And the Burberry factory is no more , so no more cute Japanese girls I`m afraid! It`s being demolished right now.
I lived right next to it a few years ago and there was a lot of local groups set up to stop them building this on the site..

PROPOSAL: Demolition of existing part 2 and part 3 storey building and refurbishment of existing 5 storey building to facilitate the redevelopment of the site including the erection of a part 9 and part10 storey building plus 18 storey tower and refurbishment of existing 5 storey building including 2 storey roof extension to provide either class A1 Retail, Class B1 Office or class B8 Storage and distribution (totaling 5443 sq m) provided at basement ground and first floor level provision of 222 residential units Class C3 (18665 sq m), comprising 34 x 1 bed 149 x 2 bed 26 x 3 bed 8 x 4 bed 5 x 5 bed units together with balconies/roof terraces 1 loading bay enclosed parking for bicycles refuse/recycling facilities and ground floor electrical sub station.

18 storey tower..!!

.p.

I just hope citylink bloody deliver to E5 or I won't be getting any nitrous any more :(

I only moved in just over a week ago but it doesn't seem that bad to me

It never is though. I think it's hilarious that people give me that look when I tell them I live in St Pauls

Hackneys no more dangerous than anywhere where you have dodgy estates.

I don't believe companies won't deliver, prehaps some of the estates are dodgy but most of hackney is fine, there are of course maurading gangs of yuths to avoid on occasion...

but I'd feel more vulnerable in Enfield or parts of the suberbs TBH

18 storeys?!? Why the fuck didn't I hear about that? Did the Gazette mention it or not?

An estate agent told me they don't advertise with the Hackney Gazette anymore, 'cos it's "too negative".

I almost added - if they stop their property supplement, I might start buying it!

*ahem*

Enfield as dangerous as Hackney? We would welcome crime round here in Enfield Lock. It would make the place more interesting!

Used to live in Enfield (well, the posh end of Edmonton but I know Enfield well) and now live in the heart of Dalston (down a dark alley just off Ridley road market) and I feel a lot safer walking round here than I would walking through Enfield Town late at night.

Oh, and the company I work for now has a lot of ex DHL staff and they are some of the most incompetent people I've ever worked with. Just the kind of people who would turn round and refuse delivery on the flimsiest of reasons. Been in the courier industry a long time and have a very bad impression of DHL.

That's worse. The further north you go up the Hertford Road. the more toothless banjo players there are by the side of the road. Never felt safe up there though at the age of 13 I did sleep rough for a few nights in the Waltham Cross area without coming to serious harm.

Are you in the Island Village? That's a seriously ugly fucking place.
