I don't have a problem with people only reading part of the boards. I do have a problem with someone describing the rest of the boards as people talking bollocks. There are lots of threads I don't read, not being a parent I don't tend to read parenting threads for instance. But I am sure there is lots of really intresting and useful stuff on those threads if you are a parent. By all means stick to your bit of the boards but that gives you no right to dismiss the rest as just bollocks.

Please follow your own advice. For the record, it is not personal abuse to describe a wide group as talking bollocks. It is however, preferable to insults and disruption.

I don't see much wrong with chanting about the police when we're playing the Metropolitan Police. It's like chanting about Leatherhead's wall. Anyone who thinks this is some kind of political gesture is naive though. What's more annoying is someone who keeps trying to get their shit chant going and when nobody bites has a go at the crowd for being middle class. That bloke was a dick.

My obnoxiousness? Someone describes the vast majority of posts on here as people talking bollocks. All the posts helping people through major life crises, all the posts giving useful and informed employment advice. All the deep and rich discussion on current affairs, just bollocks. As someone who has been reading and occasionally contributing for over 10 years I find that depply obnoxiousness and personally insulting. I notice you have nothing to say on any of this though, instead just picking up stupid little spelling mistakes. Why is that?

My advice is not to dismiss and insult those with intresting other than you own. I therefore withdraw my early comment about a it being a shit football team. My advice was not to restrict yourself to only posting on certain threads. And you may like to recall you begin the off topic insults, if you hadn't I would have nothing to be annoyed about and respond to.

You've found yourself on a thread about a football club, largely used by that club's supporters, and you're calling it a fucking shitty club or whatever. That's similar to if B.I.G went on your favourite thread and told everybody they're talking bollocks...something he hasn't done as far as I'm aware.

Have had my say about the acab chanting by the way, earlier in the thread, if you're really interested.

Think we're well past this being a useful public discussion, if it ever was, so I'm not going to keep on digging. But honestly happy to discuss in a civilised(ish) way if you want to IM me.

He absolutely was. I had the misfortune of standing next to him. His "mates" kept on encouraging him to try to start the chant again, but weren't joining in themselves, so obviously just trying to make him look even worse. All round nice bunch.

I think the difference is that the allusions to Leatherhead (and Tooting) are just odd lines within songs mainly in support of the Hamlet; it's not whole songs entirely aimed against other clubs.

The bloke having a go at people for being 'middle class' for not joining him was ironic. I'm not really bothered what class people are (or think they are) but most of the ACAB chanters looked and sounded like archetypal middle class radicals to me. The Plod must shit themselves when they hear that on a demo.
