DHFC v Dartford, 9th August 2025

The absolute joy of winning well on the opening game of the season
110% despite the heat
The Darts fans around me truly shocked - which made it better - Luke Wanadio was brilliant not just for the goals
and shout out for our goalkeeper Toby Bull - great distribution, at least one brilliant save and survived an absolute clattering and certainly should have been a sending off by Darts player
good attendance for first game of the season
Knew it wasn't Liam on PA as no request to move from the steps (we miss you Liam)
Top of the table
Long Long way to go - but hopefully we can build on this

Well done to to the new management and players

I hope Somerset plod done him for drink driving when he got home
I hope they were collected, or got a cab home, then came back for the car the next day.

Having watched the highlights video, I'm more minded to think the referee called the red card correctly. It looked little more than a coming together at the time, and the referee (sensibly) took a fair while to consider his decision, but Mills was clearly goalside and got brought down from behind. If you don't think he's a serious threat why bring him down? The fact we converted a direct free kick from that position also suggests it was a goalscoring opportunity!

Thought exactly the same thing with the Mills challenge from that angle and would agree the ref called it correctly.
