Ordered a chilli grinder which looks OK, but I'll see if it's any good when it arrives. £17.

Had it delivered and it looks nice and has a good weight to it. Got half a kilo of dried birds eye chillies on their way to fill it up.

I bought a holly wreath for the front door, this year the price went up to £12 and it still feels like great value. Also these, from a charity shop for £1. My partner doesn't see the appeal but I love them so much:

They are so lovely and lucky you finding them in a charity shop. I’ve been looking at some royal Worcester evesham scallop shaped dishes that I don’t need on eBay for ages, similarly pretty

I looked them up and they look a lot like they're from the same set? The only downside is that they can't go in the dishwasher, the gold edges rub off - learned from experience :(

Am considering getting a Z bed

My spare room has a sofabed in, but it would be useful to have one of those Z beds too so someone could sleep in my study (or perhaps downstairs). None of the sofas downstairs are sofa beds and I don’t have the space for a proper bed.

I don't see how a specific pie cooking device actually saves much effort or time.

This.
I'm sure it's another thing that would be consigned to the back of the cupboard before too long.
Mr B had a colleague who raved about his new soupmaker, and he wondered if I might like one.
I told him I already had one - it's called a saucepan and a stick blender :D

We’ve bought a 3 and a 2 seater, electric recliner sofas. We got them from a local charity shop. They had been donated from a closing furniture shop. They’re brand new and cost half the price of similar ones in shops. We weren’t intending to buy yet, but these are such bargains we couldn’t pass them up.

I like it conceptually. But my kitchen is already full of single use devices that rarely get used and I'm not adding to it.
