In that card trick (if you haven't read the book) he exploits luck - it's all about probability, passing a pack of cards round a group of people before you do the trick and choosing the one who's shittest at shuffling to shuffle during the trick.

He's still a Jedi though.

But loads of it has me pleasantly baffled.

Great show. I saw him live a few years back, and it was bloody great. Love all the showmanship. It brings the old dusty magic profession back to life.

Loved the first half - especially the bit over the phone.

He did something with a similar feel at the show I saw. Very fast paced, pulling info out about successive members of the audience. I think I had a reasonable guess at how he did it, but it was still mesmerising.
