Deptford Urban Free Festival...

There were many dogs on sting! :D
It was nice to see a variety of dogs. Big dogs, little dogs, skinny dogs, fat dogs, all happily sniffing each others' bottoms.

About 5 years ago, I went to Lewisham People's Fair, not a million miles from Fordham Park, and it seemed there was no other breed but Bull Terriers....

It's a real shame. One of my favourite dogs of all time was a Jack Russell my friend adopted after it's apparent abandonment after Castle Morton. The dog was a real character and renamed Morton :D

I went down. It was small (1000-2000 at a guess) compared to how it used to be (10,000). Blurt were good and I loved Back to The Planet....

I left around 7 because I was dressed for sunshine and it started to get chilly in the evening. :)

A mate of mine -- AWOL in Leicestershire :hmm: -- found some footage of me in the audience at BTTP last Sat apparantly ... ;) :o

Had a great time. Highly reminiscent of old school days for me, and the only huge difference was that the crowd was much smaller. I blame the lightweights ....:p

In rush right now, but does anyone have any word on whether the revived version might happen again this year? (as in 2014, and maybe? since ... )??

I returned in 2014 as a one-off, and I loved it

But I lost awareness with it after that, being out of town and out of touch :o

(Gotta dash!).

It happened in 2016.
Had to finish stupidly early, 8pm iirc.

I think the organisers seemed to be having difficulty getting enough people together to do all the extra jobs the council said they had to cover - stewards, litter pickers, that sort of thing. I think they were feeling like the council was giving them a hard time that year. Just got that impression from following their social media posts, I don't know any details.
