Wanted to go, but didn't fancy trying to get across Blackheath while On Blackheath was, well, on Blackheath.

Hope it was a good 'un though :)

I remember getting a bit lost one year whilst off my nut a losing all my mates, my acid logic told me "don't freak, just sit down in the middle of one of the main walkways until someone you know goes past" totally worked and later employed the same tactic at other events. It even works at Glastonbury FFS! :D

E2A: never taken more than 45 mins to work either.

This will be in calendar for next year

i went to glastonbury one year (1995 i think) with one friend - a real space cadet (takes one to know one probably) - the whole thing was last minute, no tickets, no tent, got there on Saturday night, got in and immediately got separated - had a fun 24 odd hours and then just as it was time to think about getting back bumped into him! Perfect timing too

Did anyone go down? Punk vibes were definitely running the whole affair... it was like the New Cross of old... delicate head meant i couldnt stay long though
I went down. It was small (1000-2000 at a guess) compared to how it used to be (10,000). Blurt were good and I loved Back to The Planet....

I left around 7 because I was dressed for sunshine and it started to get chilly in the evening. :)

I got down there at about 6:30pm and it was much busier than last year with a good atmosphere. The increase of music options was good and made all the difference IMO. I immediately bumped into friends and then some urbanites that I haven't met before and one I had so that was cool!

I had a nice few hours chatting to people I haven't seen in a while, some cider, some dancing and then home as I was pretty drunk on account of not eating after I finished work. Most people were planning on going to the beach party after...I was imagining carnage :D

my experience of the music options was straight up punk, indie dance punk, live acid techno, folk punk, and folk. Seems like Soft Wax werent allowed or able to bring a sound so were playing from a couple of bedroom cabs, and the small but sweet reggae sound in the corner was pretty much abandoned. I did like the sign stuck on the sound saying "specialists in christenings, weddings and birthdays"!
