Hi, is it possible to recover photos on a phone that has had them mysteriously disappear. Some sort of recovery software or a phone shop that might know something. The phone is a Samsung A53. Just thought I'd put it to all you technically expert Urbanites.
I use Ipernity - a photo-hosting site run by it's members - as one of several places to keep images.
I also have chips and an external hard drive ...
But that's with a camera rather than a phone to capture images.
When files are deleted, certainly on a PC and I expect on a phone all that happens is the first letter of the filename is deleted. The images are still there on the drive, they just aren't accessible to the normal OS.
As long as the actual space occupied by the files is not overwritten, the files can be recovered with the right software. Effectively you just replace the deleted first letter of the files and hey presto ..
You can automatically save your photos and videos to your Google Account when you turn on backup. You can access your saved photos and videos from any device that you're signed into, but only you can
