I think paedohpile gangs are a pressing problem for kids.Not all gangs make it onto the news.For every gang arrested theres hundereds more getting away with it.The internet is being watched by over 500 trained officers every day in britain alone.They monitor activity and try to stop the abuse before it starts.Very often they have to let the abuse continue so as to catch the `top dogs`.If being abused isnt a problem for kids what is ?

THIS is the moment police snared a suspected paedophile accused of grooming a teenage girl over the internet.

The man, 51, is said to have been waiting for a 14-year-old girl when undercover officers swooped on him in Manchester.

He is alleged to have spent months grooming on the internet, saying he was 17 and sending her a photograph. But the girl was really an officer from Greater Manchester Police sexual crime unit, who was tracking his every move.

Reporter Victoria Kirby was given exclusive access to the unit during the swoop as part of the Websafe internet safety campaign we are running all this week with Real Radio and Channel M.

The arrested man was later bailed pending further inquiries.

The quote re Glitter should have had an explanatory note, I agree. The quote was from someone dylands claims was Glitters landlord, and is repeated without comment or crictical thought. It comes in the context of asking whether sex tourism is exageratted and part of the 'agenda' (which dylans and the landlord think it is). Quite what favours dylans thought it did him to post it, I have no idea.

The mainstream media (i.e BBC) coverage of this is a very convenient way of disguising the growth of a huge international slave industry, which they don't like to report? instead, they've deployed the ultimate tabloid meme, because when people hear it they just think it's about feral groups of pervs or w/e (not that there aren't any)


The claim of the OP was that the media is somehow ignoring a "huge international Slave Industry" It is this that I dispute. Of course there are examples of indiividiual criminal activity such as the one you give. This doesn't mean there is a "huge international slave industry" operating to steal our children off facebook however

It is you and your fellow anti traffickers who are the real abusers of women

As a direct result of anti trafficking legislation, sex workers around the globe are being arrested, robbed, gang raped, and imprisoned against their will. This is the abuse that you apologise for. This is the abuse that you support.


It is you and those like you who refuse to see sex workers as anything but victims who are real the abusers of women. You impose your own moral agenda on to the lives of thousands and you really don't give a fuck for the consequences.

And yet every day kids are being groomed on the internet and persuaded to meet up with paedophiles who then `pass` the onto their `friends`.You cant say it isnt happening cos it is believe you me.Over 500 officers a week are monitoring child sex rings in britain alone and it still isnt enough officers.

It is you, and your fellow puritans who are literally giving rapists a chance. By disempowering sex workers and driving the industry underground you are leaving them vulnerable to gross human rights abuses.

Cambodia has recently passed an anti-trafficking law which equates all sex work with trafficking and has led to massive closures of brothels and widespread human rights abuses against sex workers. Sex workers have been forcibly detained in rehabilitation centres where they have been raped and robbed by police and guards. Thousands of women have lost their livelihoods and HIV positive sex workers have great difficulty in accessing ARV’s- both in and outside the detention centres.
Condoms are being used as evidence of sex work and carrying condoms leads to arrest or forced “rehabilitation.” Sex workers are scared to carry condoms and to access STI services. The national HIV prevention programs for sex workers have completely broken down.

Who is giving rapists a chance?
