Dealing with moths

Don't use mothballs if you (or your family) have cats, as mothballs can be fatally toxic to cats.

I feel like I ought to know this but can't recall whether you have any cats in your house, so posted the warning just in case!
I have idiot cat and I won't use mothballs as they stink. That stuff tribal_princess recommended is non toxic once dry- so I need to clean out the wardrobe, spray it, leave it to dry then all will apparently be well.

Odd it's only one hole, but the washing machine is new, autocratic and German so can't believe it's chewing clothes. And I really hope he isn't smoking at 6 months......;)

It could have gotten caught on a bra hook, or could be a rubbish bit of weave. Moths don't eat clothes, moth larva do. But that hole (if not as bob describes) looks more like a weak spot or a snag to me. I suggest putting a glove on and checking the drum of your machine just in case, even though it is new.
