Deadwood was a series I started, dropped after a season, came back to again and by the end wondered why the fuck I ever stopped it. Can't wait to see this and hear Al grumble away again.

Bit cheeesy, but very satisfying conclusion, with some cracking dialogue as to be expected

Enjoyed it but found lots of the vocals sounded rather muffled. I had to really concentrate to follow the dialogue.

hmmm, it will undoubtedly help a lot. There isn't that much introduction to the characters otherwise. There are just enough flashbacks to fill you in on the essential plot, but you'd be missing a lot.

I thought it was great, had forgotten how the dialogue sounds, that archaic style of speaking.

I think I've only watched one episode of Deadwood but I really enjoyed the film tbh. There's enough flashbacks to give you some idea of history , it's well shot , well acted and the story line is the right tempo. Think I'll watch the series now .
