day and a half old chicken soup

just makes me laugh, the amount of drug monkeys on here that are scared of a bit of reheated soup/rice.

I take it you have never had Salmonella, Campylobactor or one of the nastier forms of E-coli?

Fucking nasty & no mistake. The e-coli was the worst because of having to deal with the long-term effects of its secondary toxins, which are things that cannot be killed by any amount of heating & just keep hitting & leaving you feeling like shit you for month after month after the original infection is dealt with.

I had a friend who came so close to death with e coli - I have honestly never seen someone as emaciated as she was afterwards. No thanks!

I don't think so. The main mistake in the OP was reheating the whole thing multiple times,

 The whole point of soup is you heat it all up and boil it for 3/4 minutes. No-one in my family has ever had food poisoning and I've been making soup for nearly 30 years.

If it is really warm then chicken soup is best eaten quickly but that's about my only compromise :D

No, it stays on the stove and gets heated up each time someone wants a bowl full.

From what you have said at other times, I don't think soup gets a much of a chance to sit around for very long in your house at the best of times? :p :D
