I asked fat Bob that after watching that atrocious programme about Geisha she presented and he didn't seem to have much of an idea either and he is a man who has probably had a wank to about everyone who has ever appeared on TV apart from Patrick Moore and Johnny Vegas.

I think she is staggeringly naive for someone that clearly is quite incisive underneath it all*. It's like she doesn't actually ever *think* about a situation until she is actually put in it. But she has a Louis Theroux-style ability to make friends with the people she is reporting on and thus get them to open up in a way that they wouldn't open up to most people. So, on balance, pretty good I think.

She's simultaneously infuriating (with her nauseating oh-so-wannabe Sex In The City friends and her ridiculous romantic notion of love that she still hasn't connected with her own inability to form relationships) and likeable (because she is open and honestly personal and friendly). She'd drive me absolutely bonkers as a friend but I can cope with and even enjoy her as a presenter.


*For example, she thought that being a Geisha would all just be a big laugh.

it was laughable from the start. 'immersing herself in an all-female culture' - cos dykes never have any contact with blokes at all do they? as for the crush - behave yourself!
