I like him! We used to watch him in history, camping about in his leather jacket bemoaning any historical figure he could, looking like some grumpy cunt of a wizard on a variety of grassy cliffs or hills he always seemed to end up standing on. He's a bit of an obnoxious snob, but I think he's a great academic, and he tears things new holes in a way which makes historical debate just a bit more thrilling. He also has an amazing way of talking about any kind of marital disputes or relationship drama, this kinda amazing sneer of glee and excitement!

Boo hoo for the Scots, I think it was a funny wind up and it clearly worked; whether or not he's talking shit is kinda irrelevant.... man's leaving a mark!
