Crap name, good programmes. I like the channel but I still don't like the kerrazy wackiness of calling it dave.

Cos it's a bloke oriented channel and everyone has a mate called Dave?

I like Dave. And I like the name. Beats the shit out of 'uktvg2' or whatever it used to be called.
All channels should have first names, BBC4 could be Giles, channel five could be Shannellle.

I like it.

BBC1 has an Alan feel about it and then BBC2 should be Peter. Channel 4 is a Frankie I reckon and ITV is definitely a Sharon.

Oh I know the media spiel behind the channel name, but it still irks me. I'm not blokey bloke bloke mates with a bloody channel, and I kind of resent the implication. It's horrible, thinking outside the box, running things up the flagpole, arsery of the highest order

Even if it was called "Dave TV" as the thread title says, it wouldn't be quite so bad, it would know its place and everything would be alright. TV for people like Dave, sorted!
