Das Boot II to be made.

Me and our Jed watched the original film on release in the old Gaumont Doncaster one afternoon. We were the only two in. We left after, happy to have the sun in our face in the knowledge that we would never have to go through what we had seen portrayed. Incredible film and it’s inclusion in the later mini-series is one of the best productions I’ve ever seen.
Hoping the new series is as good.

It really affected me at the time having been brought up in (for a certain period) a military family on a steady diet of war films and comics, which portrayed the Germans as dead-eyed fanatics and nothing more.

Yeah I remember having a lot of "oh fuck" moments, the first time I ever watched a war film which wasn't traditional allied perspective (Stanlingrad I think it was).......

I bet there's lots of people who are into war films who've never watch one from any other perspective than the glorious American one, because of course they single handedly won the war.

I watched Land of Mine recently, would definitely recommend
