daniel Craig is the new Bond

i have. he's quite good. there was one TV drama i saw him in where he played a guy who pretended to be a friend of a friend of these people, moved into their house, and then killed them all. he was quite menacing.

oh, i know who he is

i woulda said Jude Law, but don't think they could afford him.....

I dunno. I don't think Jude Law's got that brutish 'thug in a tux' quality that Bond ought to have.

yea, but he has got the merciless and dead inside 'gentleman' to a tee tho

and brosnan and moore hardly looked like thugs, just twats :D

Jude Law and Clive Owen would have lacked the neccesary menace. Owen I thought was top of the list though as he's a name in America thanks to Croupier (and latterly Closer). I think Craig is a decent choice but the last time they picked someone who was good as opposed to famous in America it went tits up (though Dalton was an excellent Bond imho). I spose Craig did Road to Perdition which even if pants was high profile...

'our friends in the north?? is he a geordie???

Yes, Geordie. He was really good in that I thought. Just seen him in Layer Cake, The Mother and also the 2 part drama Archangel on BBC1 recently. I like him but he's got a coldness about him which i find a bit annoying. Definitely not a James Bond. No way

Clive Owen now, definitely see him in the role of Bond. :D

yeah i can't stand jude law either. glad he hasn't got it too.
dougray scott woulda been quite good, tho perhaps not toff enough.

Brosnan's not been too bad, has he? (-I honestly don't know, I'm not a huge Bond fan at all really.)

Roger Moore played the role as comedy. Not a great Bond IMO.

Yeah, Jude is way to pretty. In fact he's way too pretty for everything, he should play a woman pronto before he gets too old and hormoney. I think Geordie will cut the mustard, he's certainly fanciable enough (but no Connery, grrr). I shall ignore the comment on Clive Owen above, as he is clearly the singlularly most beautiful thing in all of God's creation! Ommmm. It would be bad for his career, he's right.

i just thought brosnan looked like a catalogue model, and his films were just big adverts

he's not to be blamed entirely, but he didn't rea;;y do anything except look smug all the time IMO

Thankfully

Just dont know what the attraction is with Orrible Owen - euch

This Craig blerk looks quite fit and a bit rugged t'boot - yum :)

He's a cracking actor and looks as hard as nails. He could even get me interested in watching Bond films again.

depends on the story he gets; if we get another gadget-laden advert then it wont work, if they decide to try and make a film then it might

I think you'll find they probably could.

Anyway, Jude Law as Bond? Haha! In a comedy piss take on Bond maybe, but as the real thing - I don't think so, he's a ponce;)

Very good choice in Craig though. I've always liked him, very decent actor that could very well back some of that much missed menace to the part - a la Dalton.
