The explanation behind the art, so much tosh, the mumbo jumbo under the heading of art, the equally ridiculous moving of dates, events and meeting in relation to the church... and I know it's apiece of fiction but a lot of people out there, well, don't know the difference. Which is the problem.
Was listening to the radio the other day and there was a small piece on the news about how about two thirds of the people surveyed believed the story was fact and about half believed that Mary Magdalene had a child fathered by Jesus.
I've also met a couple of people (otherwise highly intelligent and academic peeps) who got incredibly angry when I dismissed it all (including 'Holy Blood & Holy Grail) to be tosh. Frightening really.
