Cyclists and red lights

This is another rule that's different in Spain, by the way. Here it is compulsory to go through on amber and you may go through on red provided you feel like it.

On my cycle to work this morning I stopped at a crossing with someone waiting to cross and 3 cars all just went straight on through . This is not an uncommon thing IME .

On my way to work this morning, a lorry and Merc jumped the lights at the Hyde park roundabout, forcing all the cyclists who had started off from the lights early* to swerve out of the way. One for everyone.

* including me. At hyde park, if you're not out in front as it turns amber, then you are one scared cyclist.
