Cycling route planner with gradients

I seem to remember someone on here posting a link to a route planner which also factored gradients into the equation.

I've tried searching it on here and google and can't find it though. I'm sure I wasn't dreaming

Anyone know it?

Think that bikehike one might be the one I'm thinking about (although other suggestions are welcome). What I want to do if I'm honest is avoid bigger inclines if possible by going around them. There are quite a few places near me that I can think of where google maps would send you up a big hill just to go down it the other side. I'd like a route planner which suggests going around a big hill even if it's a bit longer if you see what I mean.

Aye.

bikehike doesn't exactly take the gradients into account automatically when planning the route, but it lets you see what they are, so you can try different routes to find something less hilly.

That's what makes me thing there was another link recently. There's definitely a better site.

I've been using maymyride quite a bit and that seems to be quite nice, free and might be worth you giving it a try.

Its also quite handy cos me phone can track where I go with GPS and then just uploads them. With stats calories time etc.

I used it the other day as well to plan a route for a scratch on the motorbike as well. 160 odd miles and it was brilliant

I just found this

which does similar to bikehike, but it's nicer to use (esp. without the quirky undo behaviour of bikehike) and has Google's Terrain view as a mapping option, so you can see where the hills are.
