I'm currently resisting the urge to just go back to hitting it with the clippers. So I'm keeping the back and sides down to a #4, while letting the top grow out while I decide what to do with it. It's probably time to admit that a home auto-cut, even with the amount of experience I've had of doing it, just isn't going to be anything other than...well, a home auto-cut.i've just done the worst job of this ever.

I cut mine! It's like learning anything else, you're shit at it and you get better. So if you started out with a decent hair style you will make it slowly more shit for months and then it will start getting better. I would totally recommend it though, for me it was an important part of the wider learning curve of looking after my hair properly.

Just do a skinhead zero crop - you never need to worry about your hair with that.
