Curb Your Enthusiasm Series 7

Never watched Curb until this series and am finding it very :D,must try and get hold of earlier series

Liked the series finale. Not side splittingly funny but I like the way it tied up. They're back together but Larry's not learned from it. That was the part of the ethos for Seinfeld, that the main characters never learned from their experiences. 'No hugging , no learning'

Last night's one was brilliant! The women's underwear, the trousers, the cunnilingus - all beautifully stitched together.

Watched the finale today, very good, although my favourite finales have to be either the one with the show where his cousin's in the audience and Larry starts doing adlib standup (he is the single biggest reason for antisemitism in New York today :D) or the restaurant swearing scene...

yeh the table read episode was great. sometimes i have disliked part of the 'formula' because you can see situations happening a mile off, but the scene with Kramer at the end was just genius :D

Yeh, 'twas brilliant. I was slightly miffed about that whole thing, thinking that maybe 'Kramer' was a bit of a racist, and when he was in the first episode I thought what Larry etc must have said to him about that incident, that it must have been a bit awkward.

But that final scene really pleased me :D

I think the Table Read episode is possibly my favourite now, and actually I am normally a bit of a Curb nay-sayer

:)

It's amazing how he manages to keep the standard up so high for so many series. Especially considering that it's basically a rather limited concept and one which most people couldn't get much out of - a rich successful guy who just happens to be socially inept. But even though there is that 'formula' thing it's still brilliant and it still hasn't really gone stale

it's part of the long set up for the rest of the series. And because you need something less witty to show the utter hilarity of tomorrow nights, which should be the funniest thing you've seen on television in the last five and a hlaf years.

Which one were you talking about here?

My housemate borrowed one of my Curb DVDs and watched three episodes from the last series (the one where he initially splits from Cheryl). She told me she thought it was excellent, and didn't know any of the background to it, that it was based on real life and had never seen Seinfeld.

I know its got a strong cult following, but C4 really ought to open it up to a wider audience by putting it on terrestrial and at a decent time.

Its the 1st time Ive ever watched CYE which is strange considering how much I loved Seinfeld, have to lay me hands on some of the earlier series.

Too true. I don't know why they keep it hidden away on More4. Although I guess they have to show it fairly late cos of the language.
