Is NY any good now then? I stopped watching cos it was even more uber-tech and 'plot, what plot' episodes where it felt like they just wanted to hang 6 'forensic' scenes together and do some mean looking blue blue streets type stuff.

I think that filter was mainly there to block out the Californian sunlight because they film it spring/summer.
