Crystal Palace 2007-08 Thread

The constant flow of player has been disconcerting, the almost dismissal of some of the crowds favourites and the single win, In how many games?

The impression is that Colin didn't realise exactly what he was getting into. Web sites have Clinton pleading not to be sold in the January sales.

Just a matter of wait and see..................................and hope.

Some fans are mumbling about qualifying for the play offs. .. after one win.

So what does everyone think of Warnock now he's been there a while? Anyone warming to him yet!?
I'm warming to him now the results are going our way. Plus he's been sounding quite reasonable in interviews. What happened when Warnock got sent off?

What happened when Warnock got sent off?

Foul mouth abuse of the ref, supposed incitement to violence...

He has a bad rep from : Sheffield United boss Neil Warnock says he has nothing to be ashamed of after Saturday's game against West Brom was abandoned.

The game was called off after 82 minutes, with West Brom winning 3-0, because the Blades only had six players left on the pitch.

Under FA rules, a team cannot continue if they have fewer than seven players left on the pitch.

I have no regrets about how my bench behaved said Neil Warnock Sheff Utd boss
Simon Tracey, George Santos and Patrick Suffo were sent off inside 64 minutes.

West Brom manager Gary Megson claims that Michael Brown and Rob Ullathorne were told to come off injured to force an abandonment.

But Warnock vehemently denies these accusations.

"I have no regrets about how my bench behaved," he insisted. "We did not try to get the game called off.

"How anybody can make such accusations before the referee has submitted his report is totally out of order.

"The only regret I have is that we didn't finish the game and that we ended up with no points.

"Ullathorne has a hamstring injury and Brown a groin injury.

George Santos will be forced to leave Bramall Lane
"Laurent D'Jaffo and Paul Peschisolido were also struggling, so there were three or four injured out there."

Warnock has placed Suffo on the transfer list following his head-butt on West Brom skipper Derek McInnes and told Santos he will never play for the club again after his challenge on Andy Johnson.

And Warnock and Blades chairman Derek Dooley have maintained the result should stand without the need for a replay.

The Football League will adjudicate on the matter on Thursday after they have studied the referee's report.

South Yorkshire Police are waiting for a report from referee Eddie Wolstenholme before deciding whether or not to take any action.

Suffo could face an assault charge for his headbutt on McInnes and the police may also act against any of the players involved in a bust-up in the tunnel as the players left the field.

A police spokesman said: "We will not be taking any action at this stage until we are in receipt of the referee's report, which we expect to receive on Thursday."

WARNOCK FUMES AGAIN
-------------------
By Andy Sims, PA Sport

Neil Warnock accused fourth official Lee Probert of trying to write
his own headlines after the Crystal Palace manager was sent from the
dugout towards the end of their 2-1 win at QPR.

As the game entered stoppage time, Warnock attempted to retrieve the
ball to allow his side to take a quick throw-in with Rangers keeper
Lee Camp well out of his goal.

Probert ushered referee Alan Wiley over and the Premier League
official sent a disbelieving Warnock to the stands for timewasting.

"I don't blame Alan Wiley, I think he's one of our best referees, but
it's Lee Probert who's told him," said Warnock.

"How I want to waste time when their goalie is 50 yards out of goal
and I try to flick the ball to one of our players, I don't know, but
straight away he said 'I'm having you' and that's made his night, no
doubt.

"So I don't blame Alan Wiley, he didn't want to ask me to leave, he
understands the game.

"It wasn't a surprise, because you don't get any recognition as a
fourth official. I wondered how he'd get some headlines."

The incident failed to take the gloss of a third win in four games..."

That's about the size of it. They could have equalised if their shooting hadn't been so woeful.

Thought Warnock was a great move from day one, so good to see the doubters are being proved wrong. At least the man has passion.

what we call those nice palace supporters from the suburbs mate.

Yeah and not very original. A lot of people call Charlton the nigels.

20 Millwall
21 Luton
22 Bournemouth
23 Cheltenham
24 Port Vale

Oh dear.

I was skeptical about his appointment. Who wasn't TBF. But yeah you could never deny the man's carisma and passion for the game. And now you can't deny the results.

Consider me won over.

Yep, got to agree, from what looked like a lost cause to just outside the promo zone

Now, awarded Manager of the Month for December.... Not bad.. results and good publicity.

that manager of the month award can be a bit of poisoned chalice, but

still well done, Niel i never thought we could do anything under Jordon

i never thought we could do anything under Jordon

The word is that SJ would interfere with team selection and training priorities.

The stark difference between some of the managers and SJ, also SJ's continued presence at the training ground....

But, NW seems to have made the agreement that he runs the team and SJ can go run the club....... the stark difference in team performance would substantiate this.

All for the good.

what no ones mentioned of the massacre in the black country :D i can`t believe it

a corking 3-0 win must keep our feet on the floor as Neil Says
