Yes, it must have been your mate. We led the mass together pretty much from waterloo to westminster bridges. Being at the front is great when you get to parliament square, cos the cops block the traffic off before you go round, letting you burn really a really fast lap in the middle of rush hour

I went, it was my first one. Good fun. I had a lovely sprint up whitehall on my own.

My favourite bit was when the cabbie tried to force his way through at clerkenwell and was totally overwhelmed by 200 cyclists. No aggression, just righteousness (sp?).

yep that was me, probably came across as a bit of a gimp, was the first time I'd been on the ride and I was still a bit over awed by the number of people gathered there

when you say there was no aggression, I assume you are excluding the cabbie from that statement

yeah, but he soon calmed down when he realised there was quite a few of us.

This was a small one. Last year, when the police were threatening to shut it down, it was at least 4 times the size, I reckon. Immense.
