How does that work then? If you show you're working out you might even earn a point, retard.

I don't watch my local team anymore because I live in Belfast and have better things to do with my time than travel for an hour just to see some duffers play sub conference football.

Lamps' is better than any of us on this thread could ever dream of being, he's just a bit camp.

no, he really is fucking shit.

and he tries too hard to look like matt bellamy from muse.

and he's fucking shit.

oh, did i mention that he's fucking shit?

Lampard was having his dick sucked on Sky over his goal against Blackburn, like it was something special. Michael Carricks goal against Sheffield United was more impressive (better run, tougher finish) and they didn't suck his cock half as much.

My side plays sub conferance football sometimes, and we're third in the Championship, it doesn't bother me. We have big Stevie Howard

I had a season ticket when we were in the 3rd division in the mid 80s, we were shite but I didn't give up on them.

I know plenty of Irishmen that follow LFC, Man U, Arsenal, Celtic and the Huns, but I've never heard any of them shouting from a pedestal like you son. The greatest Irish attributes are fighting humility and honesty, combined with a sense of humour; fucking grow some o' that mate.

:p

He's scored 21 goals this season from midfield, in what way is that "fucking shit"?

Fucks sake, put Meat is Murder on and have a wank :D

maybe i'll just bring a pot of gold with me instead, you patronising retard.

What do you think black folks best attributes are being laid back, chilling with lilt and dancing?

I'm patronising you because you're a fucking idiot and it's all you deserve.

"Retard"?

Oh, the irony.

I beleive it was you that posted this gem, no?

Lamps' is better than any of us on this thread could ever dream of being, he's just a bit camp.

Which is clearly irrelevant, I imagine the Heskey is a hundred times the player any of us could dream of being, it doesn't mean he ain't shite though.

Heskey in his pomp was fucking brilliant, just ask me or ChrisFilter who saw him live. You know, "live" football supporting your team like.

You wouldn't know because you were wanking over the treble in fucking Derry or Belfast or wherever.

It doesn't matter how relevant my post was, you're the most irrelevant poster on the sports forum because you support a team a thousand miles away that you've hardly ever seen and have no reasonable right to support.

woah you a hero, you've seen a live game. I must have been to over 100 larne games, it doesn't have any relevance to whether Frank Lampard is overrated or not.

Also check your geography.

I love how people who support shit teams think it makes them real football fans and somehow bestows an automatic insight into the game.

ronaldo isn't that bad a diver he just has tyhe poor sense to be a twat against england.

I can think of a lot worse divers in the premiership then him its just hes public enemy #1 whenever he does it cos of the summer.

As someone said gerrad is the one thats pissing me off at the moment, hes being a little shit and doing it badly at least ronaldos sometimes look beliveable! Especilly as i expect it a bit fom the dirty forign hordes but its just not british is it!

Its been a joy watching ronaldo this season, his feet are ridiculously quick he is getting a bit more direct and everytime he is on the ball i cn just imagine him skinning 5/6/10 players and sticking the ball in the net. Hes got so many tricks and touches and puts a lot of variety into them. That and hes almost constantly smiling tis great when skilfull players look like they are enjoying themsleves, ronhoildinho was the same a few seasons ago.

Best player in the world at the moment.

dave

If hes the best player in the world, then the pedigree of today's top players is pretty dire.

And it would be interesting to see him "skinning 5/6/10 players" in an era where footballers were allowed to tackle (you know that ancient art involving physical contact, something your hero doesnt seem to like). All I see is him running past defenders scared to challenge him because they rightly fear it will result in a free-kick and subsequent booking, no matter how clean the tackle.

^^ speeks da truuf

so whose better than him?

Also the game today is far harder than it was 20 years ago, it's much more technical, the players are fitter and better trained.

Better athletes, yes, though they seem to get injured far more and rest far more. But more 'technical' (whatever that means), please. I'd love to see Sissiano Ronaldo's reactions playing in the Serie A of 1987 and coping with the kind of defensive 'tactics' Maradona had to endure weekly. After being tackled every time he got the ball, he'd have been subbed after 60 minutes and laughed at for his play acting.

Well support East Antrim's finest then as I would

Why do you think all the Welsh boys on here, or Brizzle boys, or Midland boys like Filter and I support their local team? It's because we're local and we love the club, it's not because they wear cool red and black kit and had Coppell running up and down the wing or that some great players died in a crash or our da was a scouse fan or whatever.

He'd skin them in any era. He's a talented player.

Fancy wingers who fall over is nothing new, my own club had Alan Hinton in the 70s, Citeh had Rodney Marsh. There are others :D

The standard of football in Northern Ireland is completely shite.

With the exception of Linfield and Glentoran, attendances hardly ever reach a 1000 for home or away matches. And the attendances are dire for the big two half the time anyway, when you see Linfield play at Windsor Park all you see is empty seats. No one gives a fuck about local football here cos it's shite, that's why we all support Man Utd, Liverpool, Celtic and Rangers etc etc.

And I did support Larne and would still like to see them doing well but i wouldn't call myself a fan really cos i don't follow their games now that i live in belfast, i'd certainly not support anyother local team though.

As has been said every football fan in ireland supports a non local side aswell, whether in scotland or england, you pick your team in primary school and stick with them, the reasons for choosing a team vary but very few are based on locality (funny enough) and you support that team no matter what from then on.

Tell that to Lawrie Sanchez and his team.

Aye and ALL of the current players play in England or elsewhere. It's what happens here, if you're any good you get shipped off abroad by the time you reach 16.

Sure we have good players, they just don't play in any of our leagues.

exactly.

Apparently there have only been two players from the irish league in the Northern Ireland squad over the past year and a half, a fourth choice goalkeeper whose Linfield's first choice and another Linfield player (and the irish leagues stop goal scorer) who has had four caps in total.:D

Most if not all grew up and played in the Irish system and are not the English grandson of some old fecker is my point, you have the talent but it escapes over the water.

Sort yourselves out and stop supporting English teams, go and see local sides like, the young boys are there playing they don't just materialise in Premiership reserves overnight ffs.

there's the simple matter of economies of scale. Northern Ireland has 1.6 million people it simply can't support a decent league.

The Northern Ireland side is using NI talent and is top of Group F despite your and others lack of support.

'82 and all that.

I like him because

a. He has been great to watch this season, as have Man U
b. He pisses so many people off

You also have to admire him for dealing with the whole 'Biggest Cunt In The World Ever Since The Last One' pretty well.

Wow he's been named the Player of the Year and Young Player of the Year by the Professional Footballers' Association.First player to win both awards since Andy Grey in 1977,who da thought that would have happened at the start of the season?
