Crazy Modded PC cases

I personally can't stand these things. I like my computer to be as invisible as possible, with maybe a little light that tells me it's on.

Agreed. This is the Nerd equivalent of having a huge exhaust and crap alloys on yer Nova...

A case thats portable and light, has a door at the side so there is no need to get the screwdriver out just to check if a cable is connected proberly is all i really want.
Personally its not geekish, its for the user who wants to hide(its not hiding at all, but it does not look like the average black/white box) the fact that he has a computer.

Trouble is, my bicycle is covered in El-wire so it glows bright blue  - I guess everyone's got to have one garish thing in their life :)

My own bike mods are perverse, but I can see I may have to put some thought into it now
I am about to add another tupperware to the front with even more lights. :D

If you grew a long beard, GG, you could be the original mad prof...

 :D
I have a very scary work photo of me taken a long time ago where I have a messy beard and look mad - but more in the psychopath sense  (I used to have my name in Klingon :o )

core look at that, bloody hell

wouldnt now what to do if i saw that, get my sunnies out or get my sarnies and cake out ready to put in the tuppa wear.

fair play for creativity, bet its all cheaper than cycle lights from bike shops.

And unique - and since my life depends on it, by the time I've finished, they'll be as effective as possible.

A couple of models down the line, I may well make a custom nacelle from fibreglass.

Meanwhile I have to figure out how to make the curved bit for my front LED lights .. at the moment I'm thinking of inflating a balloon and moulding fibreglass directly over it ..... :-

.

My mate's been making lights like that recently, though for Mark II he found some black plumbing bits. Work a bleedin treat and all.

If you want to follow the progress of one of the most impressive computer-building projects you're ever likely to see, go here. The thread is 69 pages long, but it's worth looking at every single page just to see what this guy has done. He designs and machines all the parts himself; it's a piece of engineering beauty. To call it "modding" would actually cheapen his accomplishment, i think.

Im doing an obligatory ammo crate one at the mo.

Then I'm working on a possible urabn one :D

I'll get some pics eventually,

I know its a bit sad but I aint been able to get out on the bike. :D
