Cracker

He was a thoroughly nasty piece of work all the way through it, never mind when he did what he did and got done for it.
Cracking actor, mind you.
I think they all were.

And I always thought that Mrs Fitz just ooozed sex appeal. No wonder Granville used to fancy her as the milk woman in Open All Hours. :D
mrs fitz was In that uni comedy drama whose name i can't remember, mainly dressed as a nurse :) she was great in those Beiderbecke series as well, loved that with james bolam!

Holding on was very good. I've got a copy somewhere. May give another watch.

Been watching Cracker on Lovefilm recently.....it's still quite hard hitting with some strong and controversial storylines. It doesn't pull any punches in subject matter.

There were episodes when the inter-relations among the characters filled episodes and the solving murders took a back seat....which often resulted in the murderers appearing to get away with it under their noses. The storyline about the prostitute murders was spun out over three episodes when it could have easily been covered in one if they hadn't smothered the storyline with the Penhaligon/Beck situation.

All that said, the cast were always top notch.

There were a couple of specials which were a bit weak.

Recently watched Lucky White Ghost at the gym. And'll be renewing my Netflix subscription in the foreseeable to get series 2 and 3 for the price of a subscription.

Would one be able to rip Britbox vids with a Firefox extension like Videodownloadhelper?

asking for a friend

do they happen to have old Heartbeat series?

asking for another friend

and another friend has just used Usenet and finally negotiated through the nzb helper and has ended up with a avi file that plays for a couple of minutes then a load of r01 r02 r03 ... files that seem to do nothing at all

Those be split .rar archives, pretty common on usenet for ease of download. Normally you point your (un)archiver software* to extract name-of-file.r00 and it will extract that and automatically join the rest together (name-of-file.r01, name-of-file.r02, name-of-file.r03 and so on).

*must be able to handle .rar files obvs.

I nearly understand that :) .

what archiver software would work? (I'm on Linux but if not then windows equivalent?). I've tried randomly pressing Archive Manager and another piece of software I downloaded but they both give errors.
